About The Position

This position is critical to the ongoing success of our Maintenance and Reliability efforts. The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler Lead is responsible for identifying the elements of an executable work package that should contain, but is not limited to, the work plan (including the process and desired end results), the necessary materials, tools, permits, and labor requirements and developing Time-Phased plan for execution in alignment with Reliability Excellence processes. This position must also update and adjust existing job plans and equipment data to ensure accurate files for work execution, and is expected to maintain accurate equipment files as well as accurate, effective and up to date job plans. The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler Lead is also expected to spend the appropriate amount of time on the production floor inspecting work sites to ensure that all safety and work process considerations are incorporated into the job plan.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Specialized training or education (post-high school) in maintenance is preferred.
  • 6-8 years preferred experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans for all maintenance activities, including maintenance of Maximo and PM System data and reporting.
  • Analyzing data for use in maintenance planning and scheduling; maintaining and developing Best Practices for preventative maintenance.
  • Ensuring a continuing review of P.M. work orders as they relate to equipment history; making recommended modifications to optimize equipment reliability and maintenance labor utilization.
  • Learning universal maintenance standards to develop reasonable expectancies for the time to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Identify and label all new equipment in keeping with company standards and keeping records current.
  • Using Key Performance Indicators to provide fact-based feedback to Manager.
  • Plan maintenance work with regard to level of skill and safety training required to complete task.
  • Reviewing SAP/Maximo data from other locations with similar equipment and report findings and recommendations.
  • Administering maintenance shift scheduling, work order backlog, and recommended planning for scheduled downtime work, including scheduling availability of parts.
  • Interfacing with engineering, local management, Operations Support, and various other corporate departments as necessary.
  • Develop a Time-phased plan of activities indicating what is to be done, when, by whom and with what equipment.
