We are seeking a Maintenance Planner-Paper for our First Quality Tissue SE, LLC facility located in Anderson, SC. The primary role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, tools and equipment, permissions, specialized documentation and equipment access. The Planner is also responsible for the planning of all maintenance work performed in the area in which he/she is assigned. He/she maintains liaison and coordination between the production and maintenance organizations, maintains appropriate records and files to permit meaningful analysis and reporting of results of work completed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required. Technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years mechanical and/or electrical maintenance planning experience (preferably in and industrial environment and in paper production with skills in CMMS (EAM), precision maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic mechanics, contractor management).
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project Experience required.
  • Possess a fundamental understanding of the planning and scheduling of maintenance work functions as they apply to predictive, preventive, precision, proactive, and planned maintenance.
  • Advanced comprehension of the equipment mechanical/electrical functions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in aiding the efficiency of the operation.
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.
  • SAP knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote an action-oriented safety culture embracing safety as a core value, instilling and exemplifying a safety mindset for all team members resulting in an incident free workplace.
  • Principal contact person between maintenance department and all other plant departments.
  • Responsible for long-range as well as short-range planning.
  • Assists the Maintenance Manager in the implementation of (RWS) Reliability Work System.
  • Maintains all data within (CMMS) and updates as needed.
  • Receives all approved work orders and screens them to see that they have been properly written and updates them accordingly if they are not.
  • Examines all approved work orders and determines job scope and best way to accomplish the work.
  • Once a job scope has been planned, acquires all parts, materials, and special tools needed to complete job.
  • Writes Service Requisitions and receives Purchase Orders Line items for External Contractors performing work on the Paper Machines during routine and outage operations.
  • Coordinates all planned work orders with Maintenance Supervisors and Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC).
  • Maintains a manageable work order backlog and facilitates a weekly planning meeting in which priorities are set by the operations team.
  • Attends production meetings to coordinate work order backlog with OMC so that all work requiring downtime can be scheduled on a planned conditioning.
  • Assists in development and implementation of Preventative Maintenance routes and Predictive Maintenance, to include Mechanical, Electrical, Vibration, and Lubrication routes.
  • Maintains Job Packets of planned work orders requiring downtime so that some or all can be performed in the event of unscheduled downtime.
  • Coordinates Machine Outages by developing the Outage Schedules in Microsoft Project and facilitates the Weekly Outage T-Meetings as well as the Outage Update Meeting.
  • Assists maintenance and production management in periodically analyzing costs and, where necessary, recommends corrective action needed to reduce maintenance costs.
  • Keeps the maintenance supervisor properly informed on all abnormal or critical situations.
  • Performs other tasks and assignments as requested by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Develops and maintains a planner reference file or library for all equipment in assigned area
  • Provide on-call coverage for the Maintenance Team per the annual on-call schedule.
