Job Description: EDGE Maintenance Planner I Job Description: SUMMARY: Primary focus is Planning, Scheduling, Purchasing and maintaining inventory for EDGE Andersen Equipment Solutions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated skills with a 2-year degree or a minimum of 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in EAM and Coupa purchasing and receiving
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of trades involved in Automation equipment design and Build. (Mech. Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Machine builders, Machinists, Welders, Electricians)
  • Solid understanding of mechanical prints and Bill of materials.
  • Ability to perform material take offs from prints
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively apply acquired knowledge, skills and abilities to a variety of assignments within a basic range of technical difficulty.
  • Developing understanding of methodologies associated with maintenance planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits a basic understanding of planning and scheduling concepts as they relate to the business.
  • Working with vendors to obtain quotes and execute purchase orders for Mechanical components, Electrical components and raw materials.
  • Receive freight and maintain inventory at EDGE store room.
  • Developing an understanding of the customer requirements for multiple projects enterprise wide.
  • Fair familiarity with purchasing and maintaining BOM’s and inventory management.
  • Interaction with multiple trades to coordinate on time delivery of equipment.
  • Responsible for processing purchase orders in EAM and Coupa for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
  • Developing understanding of resource planning and scheduling.
  • Creation and management of weekly schedules for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Developing understanding of work priority as it relates to equipment build.
  • Contribute ideas and possible solutions that are new and unique to the business.
  • Assist, under general supervision, in planning and scheduling projects or events.
  • Assess labor and material requirements for projects.
  • Apply findings to future work of a similar nature.
  • Update, under general supervision, existing documentation in CMMS system.
  • Provide updates to the customer: information related to ongoing projects, status of activities, etc...
  • Able to coordinate and schedule, under general supervision, work for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Routine interaction with vendors of materials.
  • Monitor and communicate performance and delivery in relation to expectations of external suppliers to internal customers.
  • Present technical information or proposals to supervisor and others as appropriate.
  • Under general supervision, conduct required planning and scheduling meetings
  • Work direction by supervisor is customary.
  • Regular interaction with others in developing and carrying out event specific work plans.
  • Interaction with technical work groups and business partners resulting in a positive impact on accomplishment of project goals
  • Regular interaction with vendors and service providers.
