About The Position

The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler position within the City of Phoenix Aviation Department is responsible for the effective execution of maintenance control processes to develop efficient work plans for preventative maintenance and repair work across various facilities. This role involves planning and scheduling work processes and materials using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), supporting management in tracking and reporting work conducted in assigned sections, and maintaining facilities associated with Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and other local airports.

Requirements

• Three years of skilled trades experience in electrical, HVAC, building maintenance, or operations and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant.
• Proficiency in using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Experience in planning and scheduling in industrial settings such as electric utilities or large-scale manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with procurement.
• Experience with SAP and/or xPort programs.
• Experience with environmental compliance.
• Experience with contract management and reviewing contracts for accuracy.
• Experience with maintenance of fire and life safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance work processes and materials using CMMS.
• Support management in tracking, analyzing, and reporting maintenance work.
• Ensure effective execution of preventative maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain existing facilities associated with Sky Harbor International Airport, Deer Valley Airport, and Goodyear Airport.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports with recommendations.
