About The Position

Morrow Realty Company is currently seeking a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician at Bedford Pines in Butler, Al. The Morrow Companies is a collective group of companies that develop, build, and manage multi-family and commercial property throughout the Southeast. We start from the initial stages of market analysis, site selection and acquisition, through construction, permanent financing, and property management. We are also responsible for third party construction and management of multi-family developments for other developer clients in their geographic areas. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license.
• Dependable transportation.
• General knowledge of plumbing, electricity, and grounds work.

Nice To Haves

• Previous apartment maintenance experience.
• CPO certification.
• HVAC certification.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Company rules and regulations.
• Adhere to instructions from the Site Manager and designated Maintenance Coordinator.
• Be responsible for the physical maintenance and general repair of the exterior and interior of the property, systems, and fixtures.
• Handle heating and AC maintenance.
• Perform general carpentry and electrical systems repairs.
• Repair windows, tiles, floors, walls, and doors.
• Work with the Site Manager to ensure vacant apartments are made ready for occupancy in a timely manner.
• Paint apartments as scheduled by the Site Manager or the Maintenance Coordinator.
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems.
• Maintain the daily appearance and upkeep of the grounds.
• Maintain proper operation and servicing of lawn mowers and other lawn equipment.
• Assist the Site Manager with the implementation and continuation of a preventive maintenance program.
• Organize maintenance shop and equipment.
• Ensure equipment is properly inventoried and accounted for in good operating condition.
• Remain 'on-call' for emergency weekend service calls when necessary.
