About The Position
Drake University Facilities Planning & Management is in search of talented, experienced, service-minded individuals to assist our maintenance department. This position performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and furnishings at multiple locations on campus. Work includes carpentry, glazing, painting, drywall hanging and finishing, furniture repair, flooring repair, wall hangings, and more. This position responds and repairs issues with floors, walls, windows, and completes inspections and maintenance or cleaning of roofs, gutters, and drains. Performs minor troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments on doors, locks, cabinets, desks, closets; repairs door hinges and closers; reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate parties for resolution; completes service requests (work orders) in academic spaces and in student housing spaces.
