About The Position

The Maintenance Parts Clerk will be responsible to order, receive, put away, distribute, organize, and audit the facility's parts inventory. The clerk will interact with the procurement department, receiving department, and all levels of facility staff to ensure our internal in-stock position supports the continuous operation of all facility equipment.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills via phone, radio, email, and messaging applications with all levels of personnel
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs independently and up to 80lbs with assistance.
  • Extended periods of standing/walking

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CMMS functionality is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Order parts based on business need, within the established min/max quantities, by leveraging the Central Purchasing department.
  • Answer Maintenance Dispatching Service to input work order requests for all locations
  • Ensure order accuracy when receiving new parts.
  • Execute accurate put away of newly received items, or parts returned to stock.
  • Distribute parts based on open work orders to facility staff.
  • Continuously organize the parts inventory for efficient functionality of the department.
  • Leverage the facilities computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for auditing the parts inventory.
  • As assigned by the manager
