About The Position

The Maintenance Parts and PM Technician is responsible for managing the inventory of maintenance parts and supplies, coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities. This role ensures that all equipment and machinery in the facility are well-maintained to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma, associate degree, or technical certification in a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management or clerical work, preferably in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Familiarity in using maintenance management and inventory software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English with strong verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Spanish is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Track and manage the inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking through NSP’s CMMS system.
  • Receive PO’s and restock parts as needed through NSP’s CMMS system to support maintenance activities.
  • Manage part room layout including cabinet and bin location.
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians to ensure they have the necessary parts and tools for repairs and PM tasks.
  • Oversee distribution of parts to correct PM’s and Work Orders
  • Track and schedule preventative maintenance activities for all plant equipment.
  • Ensure PM tasks are completed on time and documented accurately.
  • Update PM schedules and records in maintenance management software.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, part usage, and equipment performance.
  • Prepare reports on inventory status, PM compliance, and maintenance metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of maintenance budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform Stock room Housekeeping
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to order parts and supplies.
  • Track order status and manage delivery schedules.
  • Resolve any issues related to parts and supply orders.
  • Work on special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
