About The Position

Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures in both interior and exterior of buildings and structures throughout the district. Stripe athletic fields as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Texas driver’s license Special Knowledge/Skills: Working knowledge of compressors, spray rigs, lifts, and painting equipment
• Ability to select proper paint for the job
• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Smooth and repair surfaces for paint, including sanding and removing old paint.
• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler.
• Tape, bed, texture, and paint.
• Layout and stripe athletic fields.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
