The work model for the role is: Onsite – Selmer, TN

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required [input additional degree requirements if applicable]
  • 7 years of experience in [related field or role] preferred
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
  • Proficient in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs.
  • Ability to diagnose all types of machine issues and develop effective solutions quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written to interact with team members and reporting on maintenance activities. Passing on information between shifts is a must.
  • Careful attention to detail to ensure all tasks are completed correctly and safely.
  • Strong Electrical and Mechanical skills.
  • Ability to understand and read mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic blueprints.
  • Familiar with ALL OSHA, NFPA, and EPA practices and policies.
  • Understand, practice, and enforce safe work practices related to respiratory protection, elevated work platforms, fall protection, lock out/tag out, electrical safety, and hoists.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in Fork trucks/Scissor Lift operation, welding, cutting, and brazing operations, confined space entry, and PPE.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, with the ability to learn other software programs.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated individual - willing to take the initiative.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, or weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience is a prefered.
  • Familiar with wastewater treatment practices is a plus
  • CMMS experience in an industrial environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Trouble-shoots and repairs production equipment and supporting systems. Provides adjustments or calibrations as needed throughout the facility. Executes maintenance assignments under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
  • Perform preventative maintenance per CMMS schedule, weekly, monthly and /or annually. Recognize and correct potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions as needed.
  • Perform welding fabrication to new and existing equipment.
  • Perform new construction and/or repairs in the facility which includes plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and electrical.
  • Read, interpret, and understand blueprint for mechanical electrical and hydraulic.
  • Participate in various training programs designed for maintenance and enhancement of job skills.
  • Know, understand, and adhere to all occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
