About the position

The Anaheim Elementary School District is seeking a qualified candidate for a position that involves overseeing the custodial, grounds, and maintenance activities of District sites, buildings, grounds, and facilities. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of building maintenance trades, applicable laws, and the ability to plan, organize, and coordinate various maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, maintenance, and supervisory roles, and will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance work is performed efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and schedule custodial, grounds, and maintenance activities.
  • Read and interpret building plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Assign and review building, custodial, and grounds maintenance and repair work.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate personnel.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in management, construction, industrial arts, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction, maintenance, building repair/remodeling, custodial, and grounds.
  • Three years journeyman level experience in one or more of the building trades, or a contractor's license, or 2 years supervisory or lead experience in a business or education setting.
  • Valid Class C California driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the District's Vehicle Insurance Policy.
