About The Position

We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast. Southern Industrial Constructors seeks Maintenance Multi-Craft Journeyman for an on-going site in the Wilmington, NC area - the site has access to customer cafeteria and food services and is in a controlled environment. This role is for an on-going assignment. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months. #SIC #LI On-Site #LI-VB1

Responsibilities

Perform new or modified installations to safely, effectively and efficiently complete some or all of the following tasks: fabricate, assemble, rig, install, or maintain piping, fixtures, structures, machinery and equipment consistent with specifications and drawings.
Work within precise standards of accuracy to perform tasks involving dexterous use of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
Understand and follow directions, plans, sketches and blueprints.
Support other maintenance employees as directed.
Ability to use and operate hand and power tools such as electric saws, drills, drivers, wrenches, and other power and hand tools as needed in a safe, efficient manner.
Able to safely operate a Manlift and other powered equipment as needed.
Perform work from scaffolding, ladders or other structures.
Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
Have thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of maintenance duties.
Perform safety inspections of work area, equipment and tools to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.
Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
