About The Position

Washington Mills is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to join our team in Hennepin, IL. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of $31.85 per hour and is scheduled for the 1st shift from 6AM to 2:30PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves hands-on work in a collaborative team environment, focusing on troubleshooting and resolving issues with process-integrated equipment efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure and enjoy dynamic challenges in their daily work.

Requirements

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting and work independently without direct supervision.
• Maintain open communication with the Supervisor, other members of Plant Management, and peers.
• Completion of specified courses or their equivalents in Mechanical Blueprint Reading, Stick, Flat Plate Welding, Tig (Hiliarc), Flat Plate Welding, Mig (Wire), Flat Plate Welding, and Gas Weld & Brazing - Flat & Horizontal Welding.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards are met and provide direct safety support for the team, contractors, and visitors.
• Support ongoing communication and assistance within the department and plant organization.
• Perform plant machine and equipment repair, mechanical adjustment, servicing, overhaul, and installation of plant equipment and machinery, including conveyors, crushers, heat exchangers, belts and drives, pneumatics, and hydraulic units.
• Fabricate, install, and maintain metal equipment including guards, covers, ducts, chutes, and attachments for heavy mobile equipment such as loader and excavator buckets.
