ABOUT US Resource Renew, the brand of Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD) is committed to preventing pollution and protecting the environment, including the region's most precious resource - Lake Superior. Founded as a special purpose unit of government created by the Minnesota Legislature in 1971 to address serious environmental pollution problems in the lower St. Louis River Basin, Resource Renew provides wastewater and solid waste services and oversight for a 530 square mile region around Duluth, Minnesota. Our operations include a wastewater treatment plant, yard waste and food scraps composting site, a hazardous waste collection site, a solid waste transfer station and a materials recovery center. YOUR DAY AS A MAINTENANCE MILLWRIGHT As a Maintenance Millwright at Resource Renew, you can expect to engage in a variety of hands-on tasks daily. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and performing preventative maintenance on a range of equipment. You will work closely with team members to ensure that all machinery operates smoothly, enhancing overall facility efficiency. Your typical schedule will be Monday through Friday during the day, providing a consistent routine that allows for a balanced work-life dynamic. You may also participate in safety meetings to stay updated on best practices and equipment training. Requirements

• A strong foundation in mechanical skills, including a deep understanding of machinery operation and repair
• Problem-solving abilities are essential, as you will encounter various challenges that require analytical thinking and creativity to resolve
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety will ensure that you maintain high standards during your maintenance activities

• A typical background for a qualified candidate in this position includes an associate's degree in industrial maintenance or related field and two years of experience working in industrial maintenance
• The candidate must possess a valid driver's license
