About The Position
The Maintenance Mechanic Night Shift position performs preventive and corrective maintenance in the plant under management supervision. This role involves all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems such as fabricating, welding, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing required preventative maintenance. The mechanic is responsible for maintaining all equipment in good working condition and following the preventative maintenance schedule. They must be able to perform routine services and troubleshoot and repair all rendering equipment while maintaining a clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times. Additionally, the mechanic assists personnel on special fabrication and construction projects, performs machine repair and installation, conducts daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment, and diagnoses and replaces equipment parts with minimal direction. Effective communication with operators and management is essential, as is adherence to safety protocols and participation in safety meetings.
