About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanical (M&E) Technician at NORPAC is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment in a high-quality paper manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong mechanical background, multi-craft experience, and the ability to work independently while adhering to safety protocols. The technician will engage in various maintenance tasks, contributing to the overall maintenance program and supporting the production process.

Requirements

• Journey-level rating or equivalent millwright or mechanical experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a continuous process industry in a maintenance role.
• Multi-craft experience including lubrication, welding, basic electrical, hydraulics, and troubleshooting.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read prints and schematics.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Nice To Haves

• Multi/cross-craft experience (Mechanical/Electrical).
• Knowledge of SAP functions.
• Previous experience in paper or pulp mill maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Assist in the installation and alignment of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills.
