About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you will assist the Maintenance Manager with all plant maintenance operations, ensuring that plant premises and equipment are kept in safe and clean condition. You will help build a maintenance program that optimizes the plant's uptime, considers costs, and satisfies all industry regulations and OSHA guidelines. Your responsibilities will include completing PMs, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding equipment, and documenting the work done without direct supervision. You will monitor equipment to ensure it is kept in good working order and work closely with management to repair or replace equipment as needed. Additionally, you will monitor boilers and associated equipment for proper operation, assist outside contractors with repairing and installing machinery, and apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility. Compliance with company policies and procedures is essential, and you will maintain a neat and clean working area throughout the day. Operating a forklift to unload and load trucks is also part of your duties, along with other tasks as assigned based on the scope of work or customer needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience is required
  • Punctuality and reliability is a must
  • Honesty and exceptional work ethic
  • Ability to solve problems independently
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 2nd Class B Boilers Operator License preferred
