About The Position

This is a union position for a Machinery Maintenance Mechanic, with a pay rate of $37.37. The role involves performing duties as described in the Service Contract Act Service Order for Machinery Maintenance Mechanics. The position may also require performing duties of other classifications that have a pay rate equal to or lower than the employee's current rate.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Repairs machinery or mechanical equipment.
• Examines machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose the source of trouble.
• Dismantles or partly dismantles machines and performs repairs using hand tools.
• Replaces broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock.
• Orders the production of a replacement part by a machine shop or sends the machine to a machine shop for major repairs.
• Prepares written specifications for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered from machine shops.
• Reassembles machines and makes all necessary adjustments for operation.
• Performs other duties as requested.
