About The Position

This position is at Kemps Ice Cream plant a subsidiary of Dairy Farmers of America(DFA). Hours: Sunday-Thursday 11pm--7:30am Wage: $32.42/hour(2nd Class) full scale. Class is based on skills and knowledge. Description: Demonstrate the ability to work without supervision. Recognized by peers and production leaders as being a competent mechanic with effective problem solving & troubleshooting skills. Understands Equipment importance of run time while exhibiting sense of urgency. Basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems competency. Understands critical plant systems, and able to enable and/or disable as needed. Proficient in basic PC skills, Excel, Word and other programs as required. Strong oral and written communication skills within cross functional team. Refrigeration understanding, demonstrates Ammonia system requirements, operation and safe procedures. Demonstrated preventative maintenance needs, work-order and PM systems and prioritizing for plant operation.

Requirements

BUM course completed, equivalent training, or 3 years Maintenance experience
Demonstrate the ability to work without supervision.
Recognized by peers and production leaders as being a competent mechanic with effective problem solving & troubleshooting skills.
Understands Equipment importance of run time while exhibiting sense of urgency.
Basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems competency.
