About The Position

Position Summary: (Monday, Wednesday and Friday Shift 3p-11p) Saturday & Sunday 7a-3p) On call for one Week out of the Month. The Maintenance Repairman will perform simple repairs of task which normally would come under such crafts such as plumbing, electricity, carpentry, mechanics, painting, plastering walls, etc. Responsibilities: Adjusts and makes small repairs on location of such items as furniture, office equipment, doors, faucets, drains, etc. Performs routine maintenance tasks (daily inspections, lubricate different mechanical equipment, etc.) Performs small repairs on electrical equipment (cord ends, connections replacing lights, single switches, etc). Assists in installing new equipment as directed. Performs a large variety of handyman duties. Construct or reconstructs specific pieces of equipment, stands, alterations, walls, etc., under direct supervision. Maintains equipment and tools in good condition. Follows hospital-wide and unit specific safety and infection control standards. Participates in continuing quality improvement to ensure continuous improvement of services provided. Relates and interacts well with others relative to their age specific, physical, and psychosocial needs. Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum three (3) or more years of utilities and maintenance service experience.
• Should have previous experience in building/hospital maintenance services.

• Technical Training preferred.
