Job Summary The Maintenance Mechanic performs a variety of duties in and around the hospital complex to insure the safe and efficient operation and repair of all equipment and support systems Job Specific Responsibilities Daily assignments may include but are not limited to: • Perform a variety of duties including but not limited to: plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, building maintenance, and repair of patient care equipment • Complete work order in a timely manner and ensure proper documentation is completed in accordance with DNV standards • Completes daily route checks by rounding in and around the hospital complex to check for and identify any maintenance issues • All other related assigned duties

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Familiarity with various types of electrical systems, plumbing, painting, mechanical repair, and general building techniques
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
Able to perform installation and inspections on electrical components including transformers, circuit breakers, power tools and maintenance/welding equipment
Excellent time management skills needed
Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Work involves prolonged standing, heavy lifting, and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching on a daily basis.

Responsibilities
