Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience, or 2 years with relevant technical training specific to facility equipment.
  • Proficient in single-phase electrical systems and motors.
  • Advanced knowledge of three-phase electrical distribution systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and effectively troubleshoot control circuits.
  • Proficient in the use of electrical testing instruments (e.g., continuity testers, amp meters, voltage testers).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience performing complex equipment repairs and adjustments.
  • Ability to interpret and apply information from equipment and parts manuals.
  • Capable of identifying parts requirements and communicating reorder needs.
  • Skilled in performing and documenting preventive maintenance on both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues to prevent equipment failure and downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems across plant equipment.
  • Accurately document all work completed in the daily Individual Shift Report.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels by properly logging parts usage and notifying supervisors of low stock.
  • Conduct general building maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Perform electrical repairs on single-phase and three-phase power distribution systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment control wiring and electrical systems.
  • Inspect equipment and independently perform corrective actions within the scope of a Class B Maintenance Technician.
  • Adhere to safety procedures, GMP standards, and proper repair practices at all times.
  • Execute assigned equipment repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) tasks independently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
