About The Position

As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you will play a critical role in ensuring our client's facility operates at peak performance. This hands-on position combines skilled trades expertise with proactive facility maintenance to create safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments for building occupants. You will be responsible for maintaining the physical structure and building systems, performing repairs across multiple disciplines including plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance. Your technical skills and attention to detail will directly contribute to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional facility management services and protecting the value of our client's assets.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or related trades
  • HVAC license or electrical apprenticeship certification
  • Strong HVAC background with demonstrated technical competency in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
  • Solid electrical and electromechanical knowledge with ability to troubleshoot and repair building equipment
  • Proficiency with plumbing systems and ability to perform minor to moderate plumbing repairs
  • Experience with CMMS systems
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with 480-volt electrical systems
  • SAP experience/knowledge
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Basic carpentry and painting skills for building restoration projects
  • Customer service orientation with strong communication skills
  • Additional trade certifications in plumbing or electrical systems
  • Experience conducting facility inspections and identifying maintenance needs proactively

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of building components including wall patching and painting, furniture moves, and installation of pictures and signage
  • Execute preventive maintenance and repair tasks on HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and electromechanical equipment to ensure optimal building operations
  • Conduct assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, documenting conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
  • Update work order status in real-time and utilize CMMS (SAP) systems to document all work performed and maintain accurate service records
  • Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary and comply with all safety procedures while maintaining clean, organized work areas
  • Assist the operations team with building and equipment maintenance, troubleshooting issues and escalating problems to the Customer and Manager in a timely manner
  • Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs to enhance skills and stay current with industry best practices
