About The Position

Built as a family business, Nordic Ice partners with each of its clients to create custom solutions that meet and exceed expectations for temperature-controlled packaging and manufacturing. We are looking for dependable, resourceful Maintenance Technician for our manufacturing facility in Farmers Branch, TX. Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment is preferred.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education (GED)
Previous mechanical and electrical machine repair experience necessary
Knowledge of PLC system and interpreting electrical schematics preferred
Ability to read and understand manuals, blueprints and procedures
Basic computer skills
Able to perform basic mathematical functions
At least 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing, packaging, industrial or warehouse environment
Sound judgment, problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to lift 50lbs and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently

Responsibilities

Ensure all equipment operates safely, effectively and efficiently to reduce downtime and increase overall reliability of the equipment
Troubleshoot and find solutions to machinery and/or equipment problems as reported by operators
Ability to troubleshoot vertical form fill seal machines
Maintain existing preventive maintenance program for all equipment
Manage spare parts inventory and order parts as needed
Troubleshoot electrical and PLC systems on machines
Replace and repair machine parts plus address any plumbing and facilities issues
Other duties as needed
