About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. This role assists the Site Manager in maintenance and repair efforts while independently performing defined tasks. You'll be responsible for performing inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction
  • Ability to work 4, 10-hour days either Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday
  • Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduled
  • Practice Defensive Driving at all times

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Comfortable working from heights
  • Ability to frequently climb, bend, lift, kneel, stoop, and work/extend overhead
  • Capability to work in adverse conditions (extreme cold, extreme hot)
  • Ability to drive for long periods of time
  • Ability to climb a ladder with a 300 lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet
  • Commitment to complying with all policies for safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials

Responsibilities

  • Performing ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems, equipment, and components
  • Conducting assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that impact client occupancy and operations
  • Handling general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture systems and doors
  • Assisting the operations team in maintenance and repair of building and equipment as directed
  • Moving office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested
  • Replacing lighting and ballasts
  • Cleaning HVAC coils, changing filters and belts
  • Completing Hazard Assessments as necessary
  • Maintaining compliance with all safety procedures and good housekeeping practices
  • Submitting P-card receipts daily and updating work order status in real time
  • Utilizing CMMS systems for all work performed
  • Performing vehicle safety inspections
  • Escalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely manner
  • Attending work, training and safety meetings as required
