About The Position

Performs routine maintenance to equipment and systems to maintain the integrity of the hospital and associated buildings and property Performs routine maintenance and repairs of tube system.Performs maintenance of hospital beds. Performs routine maintenance of lighting fixture including changing ballast. Maintains overbed lighting in patient rooms. Maintains and repairs nurse call systems. Can trouble shoot plumbing problems and provide repairs to same.Including drains, faucets, showers and sinks. Can sit down and turn on fire alarm systems in the proper sequence without supervision. Can shut down and setup elevators. Demonstrates the proper procedure for removal of patients visitors or staff from stalled or malfunctioning elevators. Can work independantly on nights and week-ends. Communicates effectively to fellow staff and supervision. Performs routine maintenance functions such as mounting of shelving, pictures. Keeps work area clean. Works in a safe manner. Actively participates in snow removal effort when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Required: High School Diploma
  • Minimum Experience: Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
