About The Position

Reworld is seeking a dedicated maintenance mechanic responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and rotating equipment essential to plant operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our facility through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including rotating equipment, alignments, and coupling installations
  • Experience with or willingness to train in stick, TIG, and MIG welding (carbon and stainless steel); ability to become code-qualified for boiler work is preferred
  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work in confined or awkward spaces
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, on-call hours, and overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, and inspections on rotating machinery including pumps, gearboxes, motors, fans, conveyors, and related components
  • Inspect and align mechanical systems, ensuring proper balance, leveling, and operational integrity
  • Install, modify, and maintain piping systems and mechanical infrastructure
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks including vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasonic testing
  • Rebuild or replace pumps, motors, screw conveyors, and other equipment as needed
  • Perform fabrication and welding tasks to support equipment and structural maintenance (non-code and code welds)
  • Support major equipment teardowns and internal inspections
  • Utilize shop tools and equipment for rebuilding mechanical assemblies
  • Interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and precision measurement tools
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work area while complying with all company safety policies and procedures
