Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Carries out preventive maintenance programs for all material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation and maximize useful life of the equipment. Reviews daily Preventive Maintenance Check Forms completed by warehouse associates and makes general equipment repairs. Identifies existing or potential building and equipment issues and makes recommendations to Property and Maintenance Manager. Performs general maintenance and repairs of building and facilities which may include cosmetic, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry work. Maintains logs and documentation on maintenance and repairs. Complies with OSHA and other appropriate standards. Job Specifications: Position Qualifications:
Requirements
- 3-5 years previous maintenance mechanic experience in a warehouse environment
- Ability to work 3rd shift
- Basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, mechancial and electrical experience required
- Previous experience reading and interpreting documents such as technical instructions, manuals, operating and maintenance instructions required
- Provide own hand tools and tool box.
