Responsible for light maintenance repair and cleaning tasks completed in a safe, professional manner. Maintenance Technician - Position Requirements (Non-Clinical Version) Must take appropriate safety precautions while working in all areas of the campus and ensure tools and equipment are kept secure at all times. Should have basic mechanical skills and be comfortable using hand tools, power tools, meters, and measuring devices. Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals is helpful. Must be able to accurately explain findings, conditions, or issues when troubleshooting. Must work with safety, efficiency, and professionalism in mind at all times. Must be able to work scheduled shifts and occasional on-call hours if needed. Must follow all company policies, procedures, and dress code expectations. Must be able to understand written and verbal instructions and communicate clearly with others. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Knowledge of federal, state, and local codes related to building maintenance is helpful. Duties may include (but are not limited to): general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, groundskeeping, equipment repair, and other tasks needed to keep campus buildings and systems in good working condition.
