About The Position

To ensure the efficient and safe operation of machinery and equipment within the facility. Conducts routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems either on own or facilitating outside vendors to service and repair.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications a plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret technical manuals.
  • Self-motivated to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting and great problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Use of material handling equipment. Able to obtain OSHA certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding and fabrication experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely and be actively engaged in site safety programs.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.
  • Perform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functioning and longevity of machinery.
  • Repair and replace defective parts or components as needed.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Investigate equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Collaborate with other team members to identify and address recurring issues.
  • Execute repairs on various types of machinery, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
  • Install new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
  • Identify and work with outside vendors as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Provide detailed reports on equipment conditions and recommend improvements.
