About The Position

Maintains and repairs warehouse material handling equipment and building
facilities to minimize interruptions in operations, extend asset life and ensure
employee safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years prior experience in material handling equipment and/or building maintenance based on position needs.
• Unexpired driver’s license, good MVR and ability to travel locally and regionally as needed.
• Unafraid of heights and able to work on elevated platform.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
• Able to reach, climb, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong technical and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in welding, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carries out preventive maintenance programs for all material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation and maximize useful life of the equipment.
• Reviews daily Preventive Maintenance Check Forms completed by warehouse associates and makes general equipment repairs.
• Identifies existing or potential building and equipment issues and makes recommendations to Property and Maintenance Manager.
• Performs general maintenance and repairs of building and facilities which may include cosmetic, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry work.
• Maintains logs and documentation on maintenance and repairs.
• Complies with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
• Purchases supplies and parts from approved suppliers as authorized by the Property and Maintenance Manager.
• Assists with special projects or other assignments as required and based on level of expertise.
