Identifies mechanical problems and determines the appropriate repair procedures and initiates requests for parts as needed Assists operators with changeovers by calibrating counts, tension settings, changing and threading rolls, changing step, pressure and chills rolls. Responsible for responding to operators requests for assistance at the machine. Performs preventive maintenance according to weekly and monthly schedules. Follows all Company safety procedures, including Lock out/Tag out. Operates fork lift, platform lift and sky jack as needed. Records all activities in the maintenance department log. Checks parts in and out of the CMMS system May move hazardous waste materials from one area of the facility to another. Attends initial and annual plant hazardous waste training. Special Projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Solid computer skills to include; Excel, Word, Outlook and CMMS
• Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools
• Ability to weld and use cutting torch
• Ability to troubleshoot issues
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Previous maintenance/mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Must pass all three pre-employment testings. (Lifting test, drug test, and background check.)
