The role of the Maintenance Mechanic is to provide the necessary skill sets required to perform the maintenance and repairs to preserve the physical assets Maintenance Mechanic Job Summary Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems and manufacturing equipment under direction of Facility and Operations Managers. Ensure safety compliance and optimal performance across HVAC, mechanical systems, and building automation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years facility maintenance experience
  • Journeyman certification desired in HVAC, Electrical, Machine Repair, or Mechanical areas
  • Experience with manufacturing and industrial systems
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC/R, mechanical systems, and building automation
  • Experience with pumps, motors, hydraulics, and power systems
  • Extensive Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
  • Strong communication skills and detail-oriented approach
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
  • Physical capability to operate forklifts and aerial lifts safely
  • Understanding of safety protocols and environmental compliance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with controller programs (Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, Siemens)
  • Knowledge of MAXIMO maintenance management systems
  • Grobb knowledge and predictive maintenance technologies
  • Advanced HVAC, electrical, or mechanical certifications
  • Backup generators and emergency power systems knowledge
  • Tank farm operations and bulk fluid handling experience
  • Environmental compliance and reporting background

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial HVAC equipment, manufacturing process equipment, and mechanical systems
  • Maintain pumps, motors, hydraulics, bulk fluid systems, and oil mist collectors
  • Operate and maintain tank farm systems with reporting and repair functions
  • Execute preventive/predictive maintenance programs and complete work orders within 24 hours
  • Support building automation, power systems (normal, emergency, UPS), and utility piping
  • Service compressed air, backflow preventers, and calibrate gas/water meters
  • Ensure safety training compliance, complete safety PMs, and utilize pre-task planning
  • Maintain forklift/aerial lift licenses and manage spare parts inventory
