About The Position

Assist all production team members to maintain maximum efficiency in terms of machine operation, makeready and lost-time to meet plant objectives. Perform mechanical maintenance and repair of all equipment in both plants.. Capable of repairing and maintaining plant equipment, which includes: strapping equipment, skid wrappers, digital and conventional printing equipment, web-fed presses, die cutters and embossing equipment, conveyor systems, air compressors, etc Perform preventative maintenance according to assigned areas. Complete assigned projects accurately as soon as possible without neglecting other duties. Skilled in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining simple and complex equipment and machinery. Perform maintenance on equipment and buildings as required. Prepare and install all ancillary equipment as required. Responsible for communicating all applicable information from person to person and shift to shift Repair, make and/or assemble small parts for inventory storage and/or maintenance projects. Cooperate with other areas so as to contribute to general plant efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned Responsible for training and supporting new and existing team members.

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, and maintain the ability to thrive as a team member and work independently.
  • Experience working with bearings, electric motors, chain drives, gear boxes, shafts, couplings, clutches.
  • Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Vehicle (forklift), hoist, crane, and scissors and boom lift.
  • Ability to repair or fabricate parts using machine tools such as a lathe, milling machines, drill press, surface grinders, gear shaper, welders, or other machine shop equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings, sketches, and wiring schematics.
