The maintenance mechanic works to production running by maintaining and repairing machinery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanic experience in a heavy industrial environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work from written and verbal instructions and machine schematics.
- Welding, simple electrical, carpentry, masonry, minor plumbing, general building maintenance.
- Maintenance of forklifts, occasional forklift operation.
- Installation or relocation of machinery and equipment.
- Repair and maintain mechanical functions of machines.
- Intermittent heavy lifting.
- Repair hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Must be capable of performing all mechanical maintenance.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly.
- Other duties as assigned
