About The Position

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production, facility, and fleet equipment at the Phos-Chek® Long-Term Fire-Retardant manufacturing plant. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial processing and production machinery, working with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. This role supports the maintenance program by completing assigned work orders, documenting maintenance activities in the CMMS (Fiix preferred), and ensuring equipment reliability and safe operation. All activities must be performed in compliance with Perimeter Solutions’ EH&S policies in a safe, professional, and efficient manner. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, safety-focused technician with strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Must demonstrate ability to successfully complete and pass a job-related technical assessment verifying mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting competencies required for this role.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs with limited supervision.
  • Experience using CMMS systems to document maintenance activities.
  • Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work overtime, on-call schedules, and flexible shifts as required.
  • Team-oriented, professional, and safety-conscious work style.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production, facility, and fleet equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and repair liquid product manufacturing equipment, forklifts, trailers, vehicles, and facility systems.
  • Install, adjust, and align industrial machinery and equipment as required.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, hoists, lifts, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete work orders and accurately document maintenance activities using CMMS (Fiix preferred).
  • Assist with equipment inspections and identify potential issues before failure occurs.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas, tools, and maintenance storage areas.
  • Communicate equipment status, repair needs, and safety concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Support production operations by responding to breakdowns and minimizing downtime
