Requirements

Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a trade or technical school program in maintenance or a related field is Preferred

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of hospital equipment and machinery, including HVAC systems, generators, pumps, and medical devices.
Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Conduct repairs and preventive maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
Address facility-related issues to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance issues, responding to urgent situations promptly and effectively.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments during emergency situations or major facility disruptions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment inspections.
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for documentation and tracking purposes.
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring that all maintenance activities comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
Identify and address safety hazards in a timely manner.
Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members, as well as hospital staff, to address maintenance needs and contribute to a smoothly operating facility.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks.
