About The Position

Phoenix Paper Wickliffe LLC is searching for qualified candidates to assume the role of Maintenance Mechanic. Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Follows all Mill policies & procedures. Experienced working with heights, confined space, excessive temperatures, inside & outside environments Repairs, maintains, and installs mechanical systems and equipment. Installs, inspects & tests pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. Perform precision alignment (shaft laser alignment) on installed rotary equipment. Performs welding (structural and/or piping) and fabrication as necessary. Proficient with cutting torch, plasma, and air arc equipment. Read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, electrical & pneumatic prints. Performs electrical maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on 480 volt and below. Assists with developing and performing preventative maintenance program(s). Operate Mobile Equipment —Manlifts, forklifts, JLG lift, etc. Competent rigging & lifting skillset. Complete Job Feedback Reports. Trains apprentices and others as required. Completes scheduled training in a timely manner. Available to work outside of normal scheduled hours for emergency call outs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be safety conscious.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs. regularly.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Must have flexibility, reach, and body height consistent with job responsibilities.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to comply with company respirator policy
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Products and be able to type.
  • Must be willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts. (Dupont Schedule)
  • Must have excellent verbal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman craftsman preferred with certified technical training.
