Clow Valve - MCF Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
Clow Valve's Metal Casting Facility has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic. 3rd Shift Position: 9:30pm-6:00am Starting Rate: $26.86; Qualified Rate: $28.70; $1.20 shift differential for 3rd shift $1500 sign on bonus after 120 day probationary period Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Repairing, maintaining, installing, lubricating, troubleshooting and adjusting machines and equipment. Performing routine inspection on Metal Casting Facility equipment. Perform routine lubrication and cleaning of Metal Casting Facility equipment. Perform minor repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment and machines. Use of common hardware including: bolts, pipe fittings, etc. Preventative maintenance of Metal Casting Facility equipment and machinery. Operate fork trucks, lifts, and conveyors. Welding and minor fabrications. General clean up of area
Requirements
- Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds.
- Frequent bending, pushing, pulling, reaching & twisting up to 90 times per hour.
- Standing & walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left, kneel, squat, & climb using arms and legs.
- Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, flex, extend, exert force, wear gloves, & utilize tools.
- Frequent work in extreme temperature conditions inside & outside including but not limited to working on slippery, uneven, unstable surfaces.
- Ability to work with hands in water, around machinery, at unprotected heights, with dust & fumes & operate a crane, truck, forklift & other moving vehicles.
- Applicant must have 2-4 years verifiable maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in an industrial/ manufacturing setting.
- Ability to wear applicable PPE including: safety glasses, metatarsal guarded boots, hearing protection, respirators, welding mask, etc.
- Ability to recognize and utilize all basic and portable power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
