Maintenance Technician - JLL What this job involves You'll be responsible for maintaining and ensuring continuous operation of a critical distribution building and all its systems. This includes mechanical systems, dock doors and related equipment, conveyors, specialized packaging equipment, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and fire/life safety systems. You'll also handle general repairs, minor cosmetic work, painting, and door hardware maintenance while coordinating with outside vendors as needed. What your day-to-day will look like Your day will focus heavily on hands-on "wrench time" performing general maintenance, repairs, and equipment inspections. You'll conduct preventive maintenance activities including mobilizing tools and materials, executing work with minimal disruption to occupants, and maintaining proper documentation. Daily responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date system documentation, cleaning work areas, returning tools to the workshop, and reporting equipment problems or supply shortages. You'll maintain tools, order supplies, ensure safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials, and keep your workspace clean and organized. Customer interface and support, along with document management quality assurance, are also key components of your role. You must be available for call-in work and flexible to perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or state equivalent
  • Posses and maintains a valid state driver’s license.
  • Two years of related trade schooling or equivalent experience
  • Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on ladders, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, and operate required equipment
  • Ability to complete written documentation
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Understanding of BMS (Building Management Systems) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
  • This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including working from ladders/lifts
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of related building maintenance experience
  • Experience working in a critical distribution site
  • Prior knowledge of working within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment
  • Previous experience maintaining large warehouse/distribution facilities
