About The Position

Huhtamaki, a leading supplier of drinking cups, frozen dessert, and food packaging containers, has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic in the Fulton, New York facility. Requirements

• At least three years of industrial mechanics and maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge and skills required to diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial machinery.
• Ability to stand for long periods, climb steps, walk extensively, bend, kneel, twist, and lift various weighted objects.
• Ability to work in a wide range of ambient temperatures.
• Pass competency tests in math, reading, and mechanical reasoning with a minimum score of 65.
• Complete hands-on tests to measure a variety of skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair and troubleshoot industrial production machinery.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain rotating equipment, mechanical drive systems, high-speed converting machinery, and material conveyance systems.
• Read and interpret machine drawings, equipment manuals, and schematics.
• Utilize precision measurement tools and work with industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Communicate effectively and use basic computer skills.
• Work any shift, overtime, and weekends as assigned.
