About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance with excellent leadership to all maintenance staff. This position is responsible for scheduling all maintenance staff in order to accommodate the needs of other hospital departments. Must have excellent communication skills and advanced knowledge of building components and equipment for healthcare demands and regulatory requirements. The Maintenance Supervisor will utilize Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to assign, edit, and complete work orders. This position will coordinate projects with multiple hospital departments and external contractors. Will be required to work a flexible schedule according to workload, equipment failure, inclement weather conditions, etc.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 7 years of facility maintenance experience or a preferred certification (shown below) with 5 years’ work experience
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to recognize and delegate workloads among staff
  • Advanced scheduling skills of maintenance mechanics covering daily, evening, nights, weekends, inclement weather, and emergency shifts
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics of building structure and infrastructure
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements governing fire alarm systems, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems and building repairs
  • Demonstrates advanced technical skills in preparation, application, installation, troubleshooting, and/or replacement process in: Interior Finishes, Millwork, Doors/frames/hardware, plumbing, electrical, Heating/Ventilation Systems, furniture repairs/upholstery, etc.
  • Active Driver's License
  • STI Fire Stop Certified must be obtained within 1 year of hire (provided by Cox yearly if not already certified)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree “Building Maintenance Technology”, “Construction Management” or a related field
  • Welder, Electrician, HVAC tech, Pipe-fitter, or a related certification
  • Operation of a fork-lift
