About The Position

8.0 Hour/Day;260 Days/Year Salary Schedule: Maintenance Mechanic

Requirements

  • Knowledge of commercial and institutional plumbing systems, including domestic hot/cold water, sanitary, storm and hydronic piping.
  • Familiarity with commercial kitchen plumbing systems and food service equipment connections.
  • Ability to use pipe threading, soldering, and cutting tools safely and effectively.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing codes and safety regulations (licensure not required).
  • Ability to diagnose problems and make effective, lasting repairs.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems interactions.
  • Strong communication and record keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks across multiple sites.
