Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements. Seneca Foods in Clyman, Wisconsin is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - Plant to join our team. Assigned mechanical job duties to maintain and repair food processing equipment. Completes repairs during the processing season to meet production goals. Overhaul and install plant equipment during non-production periods to be ready for the next scheduled production run.

Requirements

  • Requires to have good written and communication skills.
  • Requires between three (3) months and one (1) year of experience.
  • Requires to have a basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Requires a minimum of a High School Education or equivalent; post High School Technical training preferred.
  • Position requires a Company Certification to operate a forklift or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair and maintain machinery, and equipment throughout the facility.
  • Trouble shoot, repair, and replace machinery as required.
  • Read sketches and blueprints to determine layout of assigned work.
  • Assist in the design, fabrication, welding, and installing of equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and PM completed.
  • Monitor equipment operation making any necessary adjustments.
  • Requests parts and supplies for the completion of assigned projects.
  • Other duties as required and asigned by management.
