About The Position
Nucor Steel Seattle is seeking applications for the position of Plant Maintenance Mechanic. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes by maintaining and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems. The Plant Maintenance Mechanic will report directly to the Mechanical Lead and Mechanical Supervisor, working primarily in either the Melt Shop or Rolling Mill. A strong commitment to personal safety and the safety of colleagues is paramount, as the work environment can be high-stress and requires adherence to strict safety protocols. The responsibilities of the Plant Maintenance Mechanic include maintaining all production and auxiliary support equipment in a craftsman-like manner. This involves not only routine maintenance but also troubleshooting mechanical issues that may arise during operations. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges. The salary range for this position is between $92,016.09 and $111,844.83, depending on experience, with opportunities for advancement within the company.
