What this job involves: This mobile maintenance position requires a skilled technician with knowledge across multiple technical fields, including painting, carpentry, and various finishing work. The role involves traveling to different locations to complete maintenance projects, estimating work requirements, and adapting techniques as needed to deliver quality results across residential and commercial properties.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years progressive experience in multiple areas such as painting and carpentry
Valid driver's license
Experienced painter and paperhanger with demonstrated skills
General maintenance and carpentry experience
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
Capability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Physical ability to bend, kneel, twist and reach in confined spaces

Nice To Haves

General computer skills for documentation and communication
Experience with tile installation techniques
Knowledge of ceiling tile and carpet tile replacement procedures
Ability to work independently across multiple job sites
Strong problem-solving skills for adapting techniques to different environments
Experience with material estimation and project planning

Responsibilities

Complete interior and exterior painting projects using proper techniques and materials
Install and hang various wall coverings according to specifications
Hang, finish, and repair drywall and plaster surfaces
Estimate project requirements and order appropriate materials for jobs
Install tile work and replace ceiling tiles and carpet tiles as needed
Perform carpentry tasks including repairs and installations
Travel between multiple job sites using personal vehicle
Work in confined spaces like closets, crawl spaces, and attics to access difficult areas
Perform overhead work while maintaining balance on ladders
