About The Position

Your Role: This position is responsible for a wide range of facility maintenance and maintenance mechanic activities in support of Plant Operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure maintenance of all building mechanical and water systems (HVAC, boilers, chillers, air compressors, water systems, etc.) are completed thoroughly and on-time. Train and assist junior maintenance mechanics with complex equipment troubleshooting as needed. Train junior mechanics on navigation of the building automation system for monitoring, trending, and alarm response. Work closely with the Lead Mechanic on execution of GMP equipment documentation. Assist junior mechanics with GMP documentation, such as alarm responses, equipment service status forms, equipment moves, etc. Ensure the timely completion of work orders. Plan preventative maintenance such as repairs and work order activities with internal staff Make recommendations to improve the functionality of equipment and systems. Support all operations with afterhours coverage (on call). Perform work in laboratories, offices, cleanrooms and mechanical spaces. Oversee contractors as required. Maintain all GMP documentation as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma and a minimum of 7 years of working in cGMP, Life Sciences Facilities Maintenance or Commercial Property maintenance.
  • Must have good knowledge of cGMP operations and possess good GDP skills.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, as well as extensive experience with troubleshooting these systems.
  • Requires good knowledge and experience with electrical and other mechanical systems repair, maintenance and installation.
  • Must have good knowledge of WFI and RODI system operation
  • Must have experience with the operation, navigation, and understanding of PLC and BMS systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
