About The Position

This is an anticipated vacancy. This position is expected to be available on 12/31/25. Positions perform skilled work in the maintenance, repair and/or construction of buildings and facilities. Work requires specialization in two or more technical trades in connection with maintenance of facilities, related equipment and machinery. Positions function at the journey level in multiple skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, or similar specializations. Work assignments are complex, and require planning and coordination of multiple trade disciplines. Positions function with limited oversight, and seek input from higher level trades specialists in the completion of novel maintenance problems and issues. Work is performed independently; however, positions may refer unusual work problems to their supervisor for consideration and final determination. Positions provide technical guidance to other positions engaged skilled, semiskilled or unskilled maintenance work. Positions ensure that work performed adheres to established maintenance, repair and/or construction standards.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two (2) years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.

  • Documented working knowledge of commercial/industrial maintenance.
