Join us as our new Maintenance Mechanic IV This position works under limited supervision performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of production equipment, machinery, and building facilities to ensure optimum operation in a timely manner. In this role you'll make an impact by: Maintaining designated production and facility equipment per state regulations Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, and testing machines, devices, and equipment operating on electrical or electronic principles Ensuring optimum operation through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment problems; updates CMMS as necessary Assisting in implementing company maintenance policies and training; maintains required licenses and certifications; assists in training lower-level mechanics Coordinating with production to schedule repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime Maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing building systems including: lighting, HVAC, wastewater, steam, compressed air, water systems, electrical, foam systems, and related facility components Ensuring continuous operation through scheduled Predictive Maintenance Performing installation and removal of equipment Machining small parts using mill/lathe as required Performing TIG welding for repairs and projects as required Completing required computer logs and paperwork on time Validating metrology equipment throughout production facilities All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in maintenance department (if progressing from Mech III)
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC operations and boiler plant fundamentals including troubleshooting
  • Capable of metal fabrication: soldering, brazing, stick, TIG, and MIG welding
  • Capable of machining parts using lathes, mills, saws, and drill presses
  • Knowledge to recommend design and installation alterations; build new machinery to improve production processes
  • Technical knowledge including PLC experience to solve problems, suggest small and long-term improvements
  • Good electrical and controls experience: wiring, PLCs, relays, motors, sensors, electrical testing tools
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E for industrial facilities
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical assembly drawings
  • Knowledge of motor and pump operations, fluid dynamics, and pneumatics
  • Possesses all skills and abilities of Maintenance Mechanic III
  • Must pass Maintenance Mechanic Elec-Mech skills and knowledge test
  • Valid driver's license, forklift license; Boiler Operator's License desirable
  • Arc flash trained
  • Confined space with entry trained
  • Any other duties as assigned
