About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for performing all assigned scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in a safe and timely manner, ensuring compliance with all applicable Safety, GMP's, and Food Safety programs, policies, and procedures. This position requires competency in the analysis and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment. Key functions include maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing, utility, and facility equipment, and sharing technical knowledge with other maintenance personnel. The role also involves assisting with auditing and updating maintenance documentation, performing scheduled tasks with minimal supervision, and effectively utilizing Maintenance Management Systems to ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation.

Requirements

  • Competency in the analysis and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • At least two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience or Technical/advanced education in electrical, mechanical, or electronics engineering.
  • Willingness to continue education and/or training.
  • Prior technical/mechanical knowledge in order to analyze and repair equipment.
  • Basic blue print reading.
  • Understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to effectively utilize basic electrical and mechanical tools.
  • Ability to convey technical concepts and effectively communicate with fellow technicians, supervisors, and operations department personnel on a daily basis.

  • Technical schooling or advanced education in electronics or mechanics.
  • Welding skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all assigned scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in a safe and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Safety, GMP's and Food Safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing, utility and facility equipment.
  • Share knowledge of applicable electrical and mechanical concepts/principles to other maintenance personnel.
  • Assist maintenance staff in auditing and updating PM, PdM, and other maintenance documentation as directed.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Execute position requirements with little or no supervision.
  • Perform other and incidental duties as assigned.
  • Utilize existing and future Maintenance Management Systems effectively.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely and complete.
